Full Description
Dispersed bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the northwest of Cobblestones. (1). They lie in the vicinity of the settlement of Cookney which is marked at SY 3798 9458 on the OS 1st edition map and has since been abandoned and levelled. The features are considered to be of medieval or later date and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. They are associated with a unit of parallel cultivation marks of medieval or later date which are described separately in record MDO38485.
