Full Description
Sloes Hill Quarry is marked at this location on the OS 1st edition map. A large area of shallow extraction is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 (1). Low irregular earthworks are still visible on more recent aerial photographs and lidar imagery (2-3). The features cover an area of 1.2 hectares, they were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
