Summary

The possible site of a small ditched enclosure is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery on the summit of Colmer's Hill. The enclosure is curvilinear, 68m across, and visible on the northern and eastern sides of the hill. It is of uncertain date and may be an historic tree enclosure ring. The feature was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

The possible site of a small ditched enclosure is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery on the summit of Colmer's Hill (1-2). The enclosure is curvilinear, 68m across, and visible on the northern and eastern sides of the hill. It is of uncertain date and may be an historic tree enclosure ring. The feature was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
