Summary

Parallel cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north of West Road near Highway Farm. The features are considered to be the remains of medieval ridge and furrow although a later post medieval origin is possible. The features have since been levelled and are no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery, they were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Parallel cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north of West Road near Highway Farm (1) The features are considered to be the remains of medieval ridge and furrow although a later post medieval origin is possible.
