Summary

A long linear banked feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948. The feature runs east-west for 120m along the top of the ridge, east of Charleston Corner. The feature is possibly an historic field boundary although it is not well defined and may therefore be of earlier origin. It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

A long linear banked feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948. The feature runs east-west for 120m along the top of the ridge, east of Charleston Corner. The feature is possibly an historic field boundary although it is not well defined and may therefore be of earlier origin. It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The feature appears to have been levelled and is no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery.
