Three parallel ridges are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of Venn Lane, Blackney (1). This is an area marked as orchard on the OS 1st edition map. The parallel features were considered to be post medieval platation ridges and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
