Full Description

A unit of ridge and furrow, with associated field boundaries, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Mead Farm (1). The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. They are considered to be earlier than the narrow ridging to the north described in MDO38194, and are possibly medieval in origin. The ridges have since been levelled and are no longer visible on latest Google Earth imagery.
