Full Description
Several units of narrow ridge and furrow are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 at New House Farm (1). The parallel features run southwards towards Higher Denhay Farm, they were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. They are considered to be the remains of 19th century ploughing but a more recent origin is possible. The cultivation marks have since been levelled by modern ploughing and are no longer visible on the lastest Google Earth imagery.
