Full Description
Two units of narrow ridge and furrow are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the west of Buckett's Farm, north of the River Char (1). The ploughed ridges were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. They are considered to be the remains of 19th or early 20th century ploughing but a more recent origin is possible. The cultivation marks have been ploughed in recent times but some faint parallel marks extant in 2009 may relate to these earlier features(2).
