Full Description
A large low hollow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the west of Castle View Farm, Ryall (1). It is 50m across and possibly the site of post medieval extraction although a natural origin cannot be ruled out. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The feature is still partially visible as ann earthwork on the latest Google Earth images.
