Summary

An undated lynchet is visible as earthworks on the southwest edge of Pilsdon Pen hillfort. It is considered likely to be a medieval strip lynchet but may be an outer earthwork related to the hillfort or alternatively a later feature associated with the trackway to the southwest. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

An undated lynchet is visible as earthworks on the southwest edge of Pilsdon Pen hillfort (1-2). It is considered likely to be a medieval strip lynchet but may be an outer earthwork related to the hillfort or alternatively a later feature associated with the trackway to the southwest.

The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
