Summary

A scatter of Neolithic flints, including flakes, cores, scrapers, saws and axes, was found on the surface of a ploughed field in the immediate vicinity of the Larmer Tree.

Full Description

[ST 94291680] Within a radius of a couple of hundred feet from the LARMER TREE, when the field near it was under cultivation, was found the debris of a flint workshop, consisting of a large quantity of flint flakes and cores and amongst them several flint scrapers, two flint saws, and several roughly-formed celts. <1> <2>

The field is at present under the plough but no flints such as those described in T1 were found during investigation at the site. <3>
