Full Description

Two bowl barrows situated east of Red Barn. The more northerly ('A') is 60ft diameter and 3ft high and the second, 25 yards to the south east, is 34ft diameter and 1 1/2ft high. <2>

'B' - Destroyed barrow indicated by a circle of chalk and flint, 20.0m diameter. No surface finds. <3>

This barrow was 20 paces in diameter and 3 feet in height. <4>

SY 643922. Round barrow east of Red Barn. Scheduled. <5>

'A'. SY 64319221. Now destroyed and visible as a chalk patch approximately 18.0 metres in diameter. This is visible on the O.S. air photograph. (a) encompassed by a 3.0 metres wide band of dark soil evidently representing a ditch (see plan). The barrow is described as "Tumulus (site of)" on the O.S. 25" 1959 but with no siting depiction.

It is presumably the barrow scheduled in the 1977 list, though it had been destroyed by 1954, according to authority 3. Note that this authority has transposed 'A' and 'B'. <6>
