The probable site of a post medieval extractive pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs near the summit of Storridge Hill (1). It is 18m across and on the southern side of the B3163 and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site is still extant on most recent Google Earth imagery.
