Summary

Two post medieval extractive pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the east of Stintford Lane. This is an area marked as an Old Chalk Pit on the OS 1st edition map and is adjacent to two lime kilns. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Two post medieval extractive pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the east of Stintford Lane (1-2) This is an area marked as an Old Chalk Pit on the OS 1st edition map and is adjacent to two lime kilns (MDO230 and 229). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
