Full Description
A post medieval extractive pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery on the eastern end of Buckham Down (1). It is marked as an Old Chalk Pit on the OS 1st edition map and is in close proximity to a limekiln (MDO230). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
