A group of post medieval extractive pits is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and aerial photographs to the west of Buckham Down Farm (1-2). A number of Old Chalk Pit's are marked at this location on the OS 1st edition map. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
