Full Description
An extensive group of post medieval extractive pits is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and aerial photographs to the west of Buckham Down Farm in the vicnity of Sea Mark Clump (1-2). A number of Old Chalk Pit's are marked at this location on the OS 1st edition map. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
