Summary
A medieval or later field system is marked on the OS 1st edition map over Round Knoll and Mangerton Hill. The removed field boundaries are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery. Additional field boundaries not marked on the historic mapping were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP, they are considered to be of medieval or later date.

Full Description
A medieval or later field system is marked on the OS 1st edition map over Round Knoll and Mangerton Hill. The removed field boundaries are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery (1-2). Additional field boundaries, not marked on the historic mapping, were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP, they are considered to be of medieval or later date.
