Summary

Two linear features are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in fields to the west of Barbridge Coppice, Melplash. This area has suffered from 20th century boundary removal since the OS 1st edition map. These features are considered likely to be field boundaries of medieval or later date. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Two linear features are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in fields to the west of Barbridge Coppice, Melplash (1). This area has suffered from 20th century boundary removal since the OS 1st edition map. These features are considered likely to be field boundaries of medieval or later date. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
