Summary

Three parallel scarps are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the south west of Vere Cross. They run along the contour and are considered to be the remains of medieval strip lynchets. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Three parallel scarps are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the south west of Vere Cross (1). They run along the contour and are considered to be the remains of medieval strip lynchets. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The features are no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery being under trees.
