A small circular hollow is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the south of Marlpits Farm, Mapperton (2). It is 14m across and marked on the OS 1st edition map (1). The feature is possibly a post medieval dewpond or extractive pit. It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
