Summary

The remains of three bank and ditched features were identifed on lidar imagery in the fields to the east of Shipton Lane, Burton Bradstock. They are possibly cultivation marks or strip fields of medieval or post medieval date. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project, they are possibly an extension of the extensive strip field system described in record MDO37583.

Full Description

The remains of three bank and ditched features were identifed on lidar imagery in the fields to the east of Shipton Lane, Burton Bradstock. They are possibly cultivation marks or strip fields of medieval or post medieval date. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project, they are possibly an extension of the extensive strip field system described in record MDO37583. (1)
