Summary
A small hollow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the north of Barr Lane, Shipton Gorge. It lies immediately adjacent to a covered reservoir marked on the 1:10000 OS map and may be associated with it or an earlier (post medieval) extractive pit ot pond. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project.

Full Description
A small hollow, 16m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the north of Barr Lane, Shipton Gorge. It lies immediately adjacent to a covered reservoir marked on the 1:10000 OS map and may be associated with it or an earlier (post medieval) extractive pit or pond. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project.(1-2).
