Full Description
A small hollow, 16m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the north of Barr Lane, Shipton Gorge. It lies immediately adjacent to a covered reservoir marked on the 1:10000 OS map and may be associated with it or an earlier (post medieval) extractive pit or pond. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project.(1-2).
