Summary

Two field boundaries of medieval or post medieval origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the south of Middel Pymore Farm, Allington. They run east west and fit into the extant field system which may be of medieval origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project, several other field removed field boundaries were identified in the vicinity however these were not plotted as they are marked on the OS 1st edition map.

Full Description

Two field boundaries of medieval or post medieval origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the south of Middel Pymore Farm, Allington. They run east west and fit into the extant field system which may be of medieval origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project, several other removed field boundaries were identified in the vicinity however these were not plotted as they are marked on the OS 1st edition map.
