Summary

A lynchet encircles Allington Hill. It roughly follows the contours (between 40m and 60m elevation) and encloses an area approximately 34ha in size. It is considered likely to be post medieval or modern in date. Several other lynchets lie to the north-east and east of the hill. The features were digitally plotted from lidar imagery during the Marshwood Vale NMP project.

lynchet encircles Alliington Hill. It roughly follows the contours (between 40m and 60m elevation) and encloses an area approximately 34ha in size. It is considered likely to be post medieval or modern in date. Several other lynchets lie to the north-east and east of the hill.
