Summary

A dark circular soil-mark about eight metres in diameter on Compton Down probably represents a ploughed-out Bronze Age round barrow. The record for this monument has been enhanced with support from Wessex Water

ST 81 NE 14, Descriptive text/OS 495/B G/1978

'A conspicuous, dark circular soil-mark, diameter c 8.0 m, situated on a gently west-facing slope in flinty ploughland probably represents another barrow site. Poorly defined on OS air photographs. (AP/OS/75-371-142).'
