Monument record MDO37434 - Round barrow, south of Old Barnfield Farmhouse, Barnfield Farm, Edmondsham

The cropmark of a ring ditch circa 230 meters south of Old Barnfield Farmhouse, probably representing a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow, is visible on aerial photographs dated 2009 and 2010. An outer ditch has a diameter of circa 24 metres; a concentric inner ditch has a diameter of circa 17 metres. This feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

The cropmark of a probable Bronze Age ring ditch can be seen on HE Reconnaissance aerial photographs taken in 2010. This ring ditch is situated to the north of Pert Copse at SU 0543 1178. <2>

No internal or associated features could be discerned.

A ring ditch, 24m across, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs <3>. It appears to enclose a round pit, 2m across. It is an outlier to a group of nine ring ditches which lie to the south east, all are considered to be the sites of plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrows. The site was digitally plotted from aerial photographs during the Dorset Stour NMP.
