Summary

Two linear mounds are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the southwest of Vearse Farm. They are of uncertain origin, possibly man-made or natural features. If man-made, they may be the remains of medieval or post medieval pillow mounds. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project.

Full Description

Two linear mounds are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the southwest of Vearse Farm. They are of uncertain origin, possibly man-made or natural features. The features are approximately 25m by 8m across and if man-made, they may be the remains of medieval or post medieval pillow mounds. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project.(1-2)
