Summary

Two concentric ring ditches are visible as circular cropmarks on aerial photographs, and are interpreted as the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow. The record for this monument has been created with support from Wessex Water.

Full Description

A plough-levelled round barrow identified during the 1985-86 Dorset Barrow Survey. The monument is visible as two concentric circular ditches with diameters of approximately 15 metres (inner) and 20 metres (outer) on National Trust aerial photograph number HSLUK 86027 3483.

A pair of concentric ring marks visible on aerial photograph HS LUK 86027,3483 (Kingston Lacy archaeological archive), outer ring measures approximately 20m diameter. It may be a levelled round barrow but has the appearance of tractor turning marks.
