Full Description
The enclosure has sharply defined to slightly rounded corners, and measures approximately 60 metres north-south by 47 metres east-west. No entrance can be seen, although there may be one in the central part of the western side where the cropmarks are less distinct. No internal features were discerned. There are a number of other indistinct linear cropmarks elsewhere in the field that have not been separately recorded. <1>
A rectilinear ditched enclosure was digitally plotted during the Middle Dorset Stour AIM in the field to the south of Whitechurch Hill Barn. It is 50m by 60m across and may have gaps or entrances in the north east and south west corners. A short stretch of ditch lies immediately to the north of the enclosure. The features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 2005 and 2007 <1-2>.
