Full Description
An irregular enclosure of probable later prehistoric or Roman date is visible on aerial photographs (1). It is 76m (n-s) and 70m (e-w) and on it's western side appears to near-align to the Roman road from Badbury Rings to Bath (MDO6403). A probable field boundary runs northward from the enclosure which is associated with several other field boundaries described in MDO43836.A second enclosure MDO43837 lies 175m to the east and together this group of features may form a later prehistoric settlement. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
