Summary

The site of a Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark ring ditch 15m across, with internal mound, on aerial photographs taken in 2015. It was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM. The soilmark traces of two adjacent Bronze Age round barrows located to the north-east of Ashe Farm which are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording Programme. These lie within the faint earthwork/soilmark traces of a coaxial later prehistoric or Roman embanked field system extending across a number of fields.

'A' Bowl barrow (86300251), just N of the Blandford - Dorchester road; diameter 50ft, height 1 foot. <2>

The site of a Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark ring ditch 15m across, with internal mound, on aerial photographs taken in 2015 <3>. It was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.

The soilmark traces of two adjacent Bronze Age round barrows located to the north-east of Ashe Farm which are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording Programme. These lie at approximantely ST 8632 0249 and ST 8631 0251 within the faint earthwork/soilmark traces of a coaxial later prehistoric or Roman embanked field system extending across a number of fields.
