Summary

The parish church of St John the Baptist. The walls are squared rubble with ashlar dressings, and the roofs are tiled. The Chancel and Nave are of 14th century origin but were extensively restored and altered in the 19th century. The north arcade of the Nave and the South Porch are 15th century. The West Tower was dismantled and rebuilt in 1861 and the North Aisle was enlarged and rebuilt in 1870.

Full Description

Parish Church of St. John the Baptist, Buckhorn Weston, with walls of squared rubble and ashlar dressings, has a chancel and nave of 14th century origin, extensively restored and altered in the 19th century. The north arcade of the nave and south porch are of 15th century origin but the west tower was demolished and rebuilt in 1861. The north aisle was enlarged and rebuilt in 1870. <2>
