Worked flint of probable Neolithic/Bronze Age date was found during archaeological observations of groundworks for the construction of a new Boys House at Bryanston School in 1993. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed; the worked flint was found in topsoil.

‘BRYANSTON SCHOOL, BLANDFORD.
The groundworks for the construction of a new Boys House at Bryanston School, Blandford (ST 874074) were monitored during June and July 1993. Ground disturbance covered a total area of 3000m2. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were identified, but pottery of a medieval date and worked flint was recovered during topsoil stripping.’
