Please read our .

Summary

A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-2) Ordnance Survey map. The date of the kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. This kiln was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who noted that little of the kiln structure survived, and that what did survive was in poor condition. It was not possible to determine what type of kiln construction this was.
