Full Description

SY 6115 8958. A chalk mound, ploughed in arable land, may be the remains of a Bronze Age bowl barrow. <1>

A Bronze Age barrow, approximately 25 metres in diameter, visible as a cropmarked ring ditch on aerial photographs <2>. It is part of a linear Bronze Age barrow cemetery running northeast-south west along the edge of Big Wood. It was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
