Monument record MDO3382 - Bowl barrow, one of the Big Wood Group of barrows, Winterbourne Steepleton

Also visible on aerial photographs {1} {2} {3} {4} as a cropmarked circular mound surrounded by an outer ditch, approximately 20 metres in diameter. It is part of a linear Bronze Age barrow cemetery running northeast-south west along the edge of Big Wood. It was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Bowl barrow, 60ft. in diam and 1ft. high. {5}
