Summary

Site of a probable Bronze Age bowl barrow, recorded as an extant mound by RCHM and also visible as a low earthwork on aerial photographs.

Full Description

'A'. Bowl barrow about 40 feet diameter by 4 1/2 feet high. <4>

'A' SY 61638848. Diameter 13.0m., height 1.0m. No visible ditch. Both barrows are in arable. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <5>

Site of a possible Bronze Age bowl barrow, one of a group of two barrows situated in this area (MDO3374-5).

Also visible as a low earthwork on aerial photographs <7> measuring approximately 13 metres in diameter. This site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
