A Bronze Age bowl barrow. Recorded as an extant earthwork by the RCHM and also visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs.

Full Description

SY 60728861. Bowl barrow, 50 ft in diameter and 6 ft high. Disturbed. <1> <3>

SY 60718861. Bowl barrow in arable but not ploughed over. Diameter 15.5m and height 1.5m, no visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <4>

A Bronze Age bowl barrow, approximately 15 metres in diameter, is visible as an earthwork mound on aerial photographs <7> and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. It is one of a group of several Bronze Age Barrows noted on Sheep Down.
