Summary

Earthwork remains of an Iron Age or Romano British field system. The earthworks include field banks about 4 metres wide and 0.3 metres high.

Full Description

Area centred at SY 594916 A field system of IA/RB type is visible on AP CPE/UK/2431/314446. Very little is visible on the ground, and the only confirmation is found in a few scattered field banks in the pasture fields, and in the rough pasture W. of the road. The field banks average 4.0m wide and 0.3m high. <1>

Earthwork remains of an Iron Age or Romano British field system. The field lynchets are visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs. <2-4>
