Full Description
<1> Papworth M, 1997, Pamphill Parish, Kingston Lacy Estate, Wessex Region, 130 (Unpublished document). SDO13960.
‘Scatter of flint flakes SE of Pound Farmhouse … During 1987 the field immediately north-west of Kingston Lacy Office, Hillbutts and south of Pound Farmhouse was fieldwalked as medieval pottery had been unearthed by ploughing (see 112,336). During this fieldwalking a concentration of struck flint flakes was found on the west side of the field. These flakes were of fine black flint. No flint tools were recovered. The flint probably indicates a prehistoric flint working site.’
