Full Description

The OS 2nd edn 25in map (1902) (1) marks B. Grd (burial ground) immediately adjacent to a school (and apparently forming part of its grounds) on a site on the E side of Chapel Road, Parkstone. It is possible that the OS map is in error and that a playground forming part of the school was intended. However, the OS 3rd edn map again shows the plot as B.G., forming part of the site of a parish hall. The feature is not identified on later maps and the site now falls within the land surrounding a modern community hall.
