Full Description
A 'Mission Church' is shown on the N side of the then developing Fitzmaurice Road, Christchurch, on the OS 3rd edn 25in map (1909) (1). The church is said to have been built in 1898 (2). The 4th edn map (1933) (3) shows a building with a different footprint on the site but also shows St George's church, built c 1928, the successor to the mission church, on a corner site opposite (MDO33082).
