Full Description

A station is shown on the OS 1st edn 25in map (1871) (1), serving the LSWR Ringwood and Christchurch branch line. The 2nd edn map (1898) (2) shows the station complex remodelled and enlarged but probably no longer catering for passenger traffic because of the new station opened to the W to serve both the original branch line and the more recent Bournemouth Direct line. The Ringwood branch line was removed in the later 20th century and the station site has been redeveloped.
