C. Bowl barrow. Diameter 24 paces, height 7 ft. <3>

C. A tree covered bowl barrow, diameter 16.0m, height 2.0m, with a ditch 2.0m wide and 0.2m deep. <4>

'(29) Ditched bowl (59169053) in woodland 125 yds. E.S.E. of (28). Diam. 52 ft., ht. 6½ ft., with ditch about 10 ft. wide.'

Situated in woodland. Four large trees grow out of the ivy covered mound, 3 beech trees and a sycamore. There are two animal burrows on the south side of the barrow and an E-W aligned track obscures the barrow ditch on the south. An electricity sub-station exists a few metres south of the barrow and may be associated with concrete platforms whcih obscure part of the barrow and barrow ditch. On the north the barrow ditch is filled with tree stumps, and it is only on the east that the ditch is easily traceable. 1/3/C
