Full Description

The OS 2nd edn 25in map (1898) (1) shows a gravel pit in an area of heathy pasture and coniferous woodland S of Pokesdown Farm. The site has subsequently been developed for housing and now lies on the S side of Alexandra Road, Pokesdown.
