Full Description

[A - SY 59319098 B - SY 59219085 C - SY 59149083] A - ? Pit at SW end. Has been ploughed - now grass. Possibly round. No evidence of long barrow. <2>

A. Perhaps upcast from the adjoining pit.<3>

A. A grass covered mound elongated in a NW-SE direction and measuring 18.0 x 10.0m with a height of appox 1.0m.

A larger pit than that shown on the 1/2500 exists to the S. The mound has no side ditches, and although an element of doubt exists, it may well be a mutilated (? Excavated) barrow. Any upcast from the pit is unlikely to have been placed uphill and above the pit and it is doubtful if the mound represents such material. <4>
