Full Description
The OS 2nd edn 25in map (1898) (1) shows a flight of steps mounting the cliff from the shore with a path in a cutting or holloway continuing to Clifton Road (now Cliff Road. The 4th edn map (1933) (2) shows the steps with a different alignment to the east of the earlier location. The 5th edn (1947) (3) shows a zig-zag path on the site, which is extant.
