Full Description

Tennis Grounds and a pavilion are shown on a 1.3 ha site at Leigham Vale Road on the then outskirts of the developing suburb of Southbourne on the OS 4th edn 1:2500 map (1933) (1). Tennis courts are again shown on the OS 5th edn map (1946) (2) but by that date the site had been reduced to 0.6 ha by housing development. The whole of the area was subsequently developed for housing.
